Hello.

My name is Jonáš Kirchner and I am 22 years old. I come from Opava, Czech Republic. I’m currently studying graphic design at Brno University of Technology, where I am in the fourth year of my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design Studio 2.

I use new technologies, but they don't stand alone, the output from them has added value.
I look for ways to make things functional and rewarding rather than just aesthetically pleasing. I think about my projects for the benefit of the user, design, or art. My primary focus in my work is on interactivity and the experience of it. I try to get to this goal not only by using the new technologies that today's era offers, but also by using analogue approaches.

#2Movement WIP Alters meaning

Based on the feedback I received, I narrowed down the topic of my bachelor's final project and now I am focusing on the diversity of swipe and touch gestures and how to visualize these variations.

MANIFESTO:
Interactions associated with the use of mobile devices should take into consideration the user and their body. Interactions should be designed by humans for humans. I reject established practices in the field of User Experience Design—namely, the notion that interaction is merely a means of control, which is in most cases rewarding and gamified. I propose that we take a moment to reflect on how we navigate the screen. At the same time, I do not believe that a “swipe,” for example, should be aesthetic, as Kristina Höök suggests in her work *Designing with the Body, Somaesthetic Interaction Design*, but rather that it should provide the user with adequate freedom. I recommend swiping hard, lightly, from left to right, up, down, diagonally, with one hand, with both hands, with a finger, using all fingers, with the palm, with the knuckles. And maybe even with the ear? Swipe everywhere, on everything, into anything, any which way—let the movement become conscious.

The aim of this bachelor project is to create an interactive work that explores the relationship between humans and images, with the human body as the fundamental element of change – its movements serving as the tool for this transformation.

The project seeks to find ways to change the image through movements that are common for humans but unexpected in the context of image transformation. At the same time, it focuses on physical predispositions themselves, as I believe that they determine the character of movement.

As part of SMYK Creative Talks, I had the opportunity to speak about my work. The talk was about how I navigate between media, from small electronics to software worlds. And how I incorporate the phenomenon of interaction into them.

DRONPRO 2025 Masks

This project was created during my
internship at the OFICINA studio.

It is an interactive website that offers DRONPRO customers and community members the opportunity to try out different dragon mask skins. They can then share them as photos or videos on social media.

DRONPRO are drone sellers, they also have their own community, they call themselves dragons. Their symbol is a dragon mask.

The website also offers the possibility to create your own skin. This is done using an integrated environment that allows you to draw the skin.

The website serves as a link between the community.

K®NCEPT 2025 projection

TouchDesigner, LED stage,

The aim of this project was to create projections for Jiří Korn's anniversary concert. These are visualizations for an LED wall.


The MediaPipe plugin for TouchDesigner is used, where the image changes based on the movements of the dancers and Jiří Korn himself. The basic effect is feedback.

This project was created as part of my internship
at the OFICINA studio.

PixelFlow 2025 visualization

Create content for transparent and flexible LED strips
for a showroom. That was the request from PixelFlow, a company that manufactures and sells these LED strips.

I worked with the interaction of a person who comes into the showroom or just walks by. The image changes based on their movements, both of their whole body and their face.

How do we perceive power? For us, it is omnipresent, fluid, expanding. It influences space, climate, and environment. Our inspiration is weather from a radar perspective – through presence, we perceive the subtle or intense movements of the space/climate we find ourselves in.

The work combines both simple typography
and complex visual elements. The entire identity is complemented by a moving image, motion design, which we use for the digital environment, created in
TouchDesigner.

The project is the result of collaboration with Noémi Cingeľová
and Anna Poláková.

Visualize It is a collection of audio reactive visualizations of music, where I tried to create an appropriate visual representation for each song. For each rehearsal, I tried to apply the audio track to the different parameters that TouchDesigner offers.

Lost Boy 2024

"Love is beautiful, but money is powerful."

This and similar phrases must be faced by the boy you see before you. A boy who's been pressured from a young age to make a lot of money. He is subjected to this pressure on social media. He's constantly being told to work on himself, to have a business, and the only value is money. But we as viewers can't help him, nor could we if we wanted to. That's not our role. We may be able to comfort him with a touch or maybe just watch him, but none of that will help him. All we can do is to mend his stretched skin and have him as an exemplar for future times.

This object was part of an art exhibiton at National Library of The Netherlands. It attempts to reflect the process of creating the fourteenth-century manuscripts in the National's Library collection, and brings the process to life through contemporary subject matter and technology.

Czech 2024 Dictionary

interactive learning tool

I missed speaking Czech during my study stay in The Hague. Thanks to this fact, I wanted to teach other students a little bit of my native language.The final result of my project is an interactive learning tool based on repetition and body movement.

Users can control the image displayed on the computer screen and the sound with their hands. The images and sounds represent Czech words. It is up to the user to try to find which image belongs to the sound and the other way around.

Blobs 2024

Wanting to see each other. To want to see yourself disappear or become bigger. To be trapped in your bubble and not be able to burst it. It just multiplies in number and size. Blobs are a project, to make these situations and feelings accessible and multiply.

Blobs use the Javascript function of Canvas. The bigger Blob always eats the smaller one. Format comes in from Agar.io.

Choose 2024
& Draw

Choose and Draw is an online place that allows you to forget for a while. Choose an emoji and draw. Emojis next to each other create new meanings.

Choose & Draw offers you the space to express yourself artistically in a digital space. The website uses the Javascript function of Canvas. The final drawing is temporary and can be started all over again.

AR walk through world

How can we perceive text, letters, their
relationships and topology differently than before?

I asked myself this question at the beginning
of the project. The result is letters at a scale we
don’t normally encounter. They are bigger than a person.

The visitor discovers a virtual space that was created in Blender and Adobe Aero, using an AR DIY headset. The letters can be bypassed or walked into. And it is up to the visitor to try to understand what word I am trying to convey. The letters are then accompanied by quotes from the book Technodiversity by the
philosopher Yuk Hui.

In these tries, my goal was to use my body to interact with letters and words. Through tracking on hands, fingers, and mouth I was searching for a “new” graphic designer tool, not a mouse but the body.

The letters move based on my body movement,
I achieved this effect using the MediaPipe plugin for TouchDesigner.

Unreal me 2023

Unreal Engine and
Metahuman try outs


I tried to capture my body and facial movements in Unreal Engine with the help of some motion tracking software. For these tries I recreated myself in Metahuman. I am fascinated by what the virtual self can do when I am doing movements in my room in real-time.


I used third party programs like Move AI and LiveLink Face to move the body and face in Unreal Engine.
I replaced the base Unreal Engine avatar with an avatar that I created in Metahuman.

zuzkyveci 2023

web portfolio



zuzkyveci is Zuzana Vepřeková’s web portfolio.

It tries to contextualize the thinking, the process and the making itself. It surrounds you from all sides, audio, visual and informational. The web gradually becomes a somewhat uncontrolled chaos.

And it’s up to you how you consume it.
Move it, remove it.

zuzkyveci are based on pop-up windows, the visitor can move or close them. The windows are displayed based on the time where the video is, so they are referential. Chaos is created when the visitor does not close or move any windows as they are layered over each other. It is therefore up to the site visitor how they want to consume the content.
